ZURICH, Switzerland – October 14th 2026 - Rivero, the Zurich-headquartered payment operations technology company, announced today that Elevator Ventures, the corporate venture capital fund of Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), has joined the company as a strategic investor. The investment builds on Rivero's growth strategy following its Series A financing, co-led by Inference Partners and 6 Degrees Capital.

For Rivero, the partnership is about more than capital. Elevator Ventures brings a network across European banking, and particularly across Central and Eastern Europe, that will help Rivero bring its payment operations technology to many more banks and financial institutions.

Rivero was built to bring intelligence and automation to some of the most complex operational challenges in payments. As the company grows across Europe, it is working with partners who understand how banks buy, operate and stay compliant. Through its relationship with RBI Group, Elevator Ventures has deep experience supporting technology companies that serve financial institutions and helping them expand within European banking markets. The fund manages more than €100 million, invests in Series A rounds across DACH and CEE, and has backed 23 companies to date.

Rivero will keep investing in its two products and deepening its relationships with financial institutions in existing and new European markets. Kajo simplifies payment network compliance: it automatically distributes scheme updates, gives teams at-a-glance oversight and turns fragmented payment network documents and requirements into an AI-powered knowledge directory. Amiko brings agentic AI to dispute management and fraud recovery. It triages cases, coordinates the next best actions and automates dispute workflows from intake to resolution, while guiding agents through the complex cases that need a human specialist. Institutions recover funds faster, cut operational effort and give cardholders a better experience.

Thomas Müller, CEO of Rivero, said: “Europe's financial institutions are looking for better ways to manage increasingly complex payment operations, and we see significant opportunity to bring Rivero's technology to many more institutions across the continent. As we enter this next stage of growth, we want investors around the table who understand both the complexity of banking and the markets in which we operate. Elevator Ventures' financial services expertise and particularly strong network across Central and Eastern Europe make them a highly relevant strategic partner for Rivero.”

Maximilian Schausberger, Managing Director at Elevator Ventures, said: “Rivero addresses a set of operational challenges that are becoming increasingly important for banks and payment institutions across Europe. The team combines deep payments expertise with technology designed specifically for the requirements of regulated financial institutions. We see a strong fit between Rivero's ambitions and our experience and network across European banking, and we look forward to supporting the company in its continued expansion.”
